The Pie update will bring the Galaxy Note 9’s Scene Optimizer feature to the Galaxy S9, as revealed by the leaked Galaxy S9 Android Pie firmware. Scene Optimizer helps make some subjects and scenes more vivid by having the camera automatically adjust the color settings. The Galaxy A7 (2018) also has Scene Optimizer, and the Galaxy S9 will have it as well once the Pie update comes out.
Galaxy S9 Scene Optimizer to be dedicated camera mode
The Galaxy S9 will get Scene Optimizer as a dedicated camera mode, like the Galaxy A7. On the Galaxy Note 9, it’s an option in the camera settings that can either be turned on or off. The Galaxy Note 9 Pie update should also change it into a camera mode, though. Samsung also introduced Scene Optimizer to the Galaxy A8 Star as part of a software update recently, so it’s possible the company will bring the feature to the Galaxy S9 and other devices before the Pie update. However, with Android Pie, we can expect it to become a standard feature on many Samsung devices.
In case you missed it, an early Pie build for the Galaxy Note 9 was leaked recently, giving us yet another look at the Samsung Experience 10 UX. Samsung France also posted some of the changes Pie would bring to the company’s smartphones; it also suggested the update could start rolling out in January 2019, although nothing is set in stone just yet.
