A new report out of the UK claims to reveal the Galaxy S10 release date and price. It also includes some information about the storage sizes. The report does reiterate a lot of what we have already heard about the Galaxy S10.
The stuff that has been reiterated includes the three separate models and an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor. The ability to charge another device wirelessly with its own battery is mentioned as well.
Galaxy S10 release date and price information comes from a UK retailer
Gizmodo UK claims to have received this information from a source at a “major tech retailer.” As we also mentioned earlier today, the Galaxy S10 is now expected to be unveiled at a special Samsung Unpacked event before MWC 2019 in February.
Samsung will reportedly start taking Galaxy S10 pre-orders after the event on February 20. March 8, 2019, is when it may be released. The source says that three variants of the Galaxy S10 will be on offer with all three featuring the Infinity-O display. The 5.8-inch entry-level model will have a flat display. The Galaxy S10 and Galaxy S10+ will feature 6.1-inch and 6.4-inch curved displays. That’s something we have seen represented in recent leaks as well.
The source also mentions that an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor will be onboard as well. Qualcomm has already unveiled the sensor that Samsung might source for the Galaxy S10. The iris scanner is out.
The 5.8-inch Galaxy S10 will reportedly come with 128GB of storage for £669 ($850) in the UK. Samsung is said to offer the 6.1-inch Galaxy S10 with 128GB and 512GB storage for £799 ($1,000) and £999 ($1,250) respectively.
Customers will be able to get the Galaxy S10+ with 128GB, 512GB and apparently 1TB of internal storage for £899 ($1,130), £1,099 ($1,390) and a whopping £1,399 ($1,760) respectively. However, it’s unclear if the 1TB variant is the 5G Galaxy S10 that’s also expected to feature a total of six cameras. The source claims that the 5G variant will arrive by “late Q2 at the earliest.”
Do take this with a grain of salt as it’s entirely possible that none of this is set in stone yet. The Galaxy S10 is shaping up to be quite an expensive proposition if this report is anything to go by. Would you be willing to spend this much money on one?
