Every new Galaxy flagship leaks like crazy before Samsung makes it official, but the Galaxy S20 is setting a new record. We’ve seen everything from renders through live images to specs and pricing details of the Galaxy S20 smartphones in recent weeks, and now, someone has started leaking actual photos taken with the upcoming phone. We saw Night mode camera samples from the Galaxy S20 earlier, and we can now see a photo taken at 30x zoom level with a Galaxy S20+.
It seems 30x digital zoom will be a built-in option on the Galaxy S20 and S20+ cameras. Current Galaxy flagships offer a maximum of 10x digital zoom, so it’s a substantial upgrade, made possible by the high-resolution telephoto cameras on the Galaxy S20 series. The Galaxy S20 and S20+ are expected to sport 64MP telephoto sensors, which will also be used for 8K video recording. The Galaxy S20 Ultra will go up to 100x digital zoom, thanks to its 108MP main camera.
Check out the tweet below to see how the Galaxy S20 fares at 30x zoom level compared to a regular photo taken with its main camera. We’ll have boots on the ground at Samsung’s Unpacked event tomorrow, so expect to see more about the Galaxy S20 and its cameras here on SamMobile once the flagship is officially unveiled.
Ok. First photo is out of the main sensor and second is 30X zoom. Both from the S20+. https://t.co/YQLgusmdhE pic.twitter.com/nEEhhPhFiz
