Samsung has started teasing yet another mid-range smartphone for the Indian market. This time, it is the Galaxy M31 Prime Edition, and it will be sold exclusively through Amazon India during the online retailer’s upcoming shopping festival. The South Korean firm has started teasing the design and features of the smartphone on Amazon’s website.
The Galaxy M31 Prime Edition will feature the Exynos 9611 processor, 6GB RAM, 64GB/128GB internal storage, and a microSD card slot. The phone will have a total of five cameras: four on the rear and one on the front. It has a 32MP selfie camera with 4K and slow-motion video recording. At the rear, it has a 64MP wide-angle camera, an 8MP ultrawide camera, a 5MP depth sensor, and a 5MP macro camera.
The South Korean smartphone giant is expected to equip the Galaxy M31 Prime Edition with a 6.4-inch Super AMOLED Infinity-U display with Full HD+ resolution. There’s a capacitive fingerprint reader on the rear and a USB Type-C port and a headphone jack at the bottom. It also features Android 10 with One UI and face unlock. It will be powered by a 6,000mAh battery and supports 15W fast charging.
While the price hasn’t been revealed yet, we expect the Galaxy M31 Prime Edition to be priced under INR 20,000 in India. The company hasn’t announced if the phone will make it to markets outside of India. Reports suggest that it will be available in three colors: Iceberg Blue, Ocean Blue, and Space Black.
