Samsung TV Plus will soon be available in more European markets

After launching its free video streaming service in India yesterday, Samsung has announced that it will soon bring Samsung TV Plus to more European markets. It will soon be available in Belgium, Denmark, Finland, Ireland, Luxembourg, Norway, Portugal, Sweden, and the Netherlands.

Samsung TV Plus is a free, ad-supported linear video streaming service. It was first launched in Samsung’s home market South Korea in 2015. Once it becomes available in all the countries mentioned above, it will be present in 23 countries globally, collectively offering over 1,000 channels. Since there is no setup or sign-in process involved in Samsung TV Plus, customers can quickly start watching their favorite content without any credit card or subscription.

Samsung TV Plus offers access to content across various genres, including art, documentaries, lifestyle, movies, music videos, news, sports, travel, and more. It has a collection of 4K channels, too. In India, Samsung debuted its video streaming service with 27 local and global channels, including Republic, 9xm, and The Q. The service is also available in Samsung’s Galaxy lineup of smartphones and tablets running Android 8.0 (or newer version).

The South Korean tech giant also mentioned that Samsung TV Plus app users in Austria, France, Italy, Spain, and Switzerland can access more content and channels within the first half of 2021.

Sang Kim, SVP of Product & Marketing for Samsung Electronics, “The growth of Samsung TV Plus has everything to do with the quality of the content, the ease of access and the multi-screen experiences offered. We are working hard to deliver more to our customers wherever they are – including our mobile offering.
