Just three weeks after seeing a major update that introduced a slew of new features and the April security patch, the Galaxy Tab S7 lineup is getting a new update that further enhances its security. Samsung has started rolling out the May 2021 security update for its latest flagship tablets in a huge number of European markets, with the new firmware sporting build number T875XXU2BUE2.
In addition to all the fixes included in the May security patch (details here), the update brings improvements to Samsung’s Quick Share feature, which has been a common theme across updates for various other Galaxy devices in the last few weeks. Finally, the update improves overall stability of functions – that’s a fancy way of saying that the tablet should run more stable across the board once the new firmware has been installed.
With the rollout of the new update starting out in almost two dozen countries at the same time, it shouldn’t be long before availability expands to cover the globe. Galaxy Tab S7 and Galaxy S7+ owners should be able to download the update over the air from their tablet’s Settings » Software update menu. As usual, the relevant firmware is also available in our firmware archive for anyone looking to manually upgrade their device to the latest software.
Galaxy Tab S7 family will get a new member soon
The Galaxy Tab S7 and Galaxy Tab S7+ are two of Samsung’s best ever Android tablets, and they will soon be joined by a mid-range variant which will be Samsung’s first Fan Edition tablet. The Galaxy Tab S7 FE will offer features like a 12.4-inch LCD display, S Pen support, a huge battery, and the Snapdragon 750G chipset, and an announcement is expected sometime in the next couple of months.
