Samsung unveiled the Galaxy A22 and the Galaxy A22 5G today. While the Galaxy A22 5G has superior wireless connectivity and a larger display compared to the Galaxy A22, it is also worse in some other aspects. Let us have a detailed look at the features and specifications of the Galaxy A22 5G.
The Galaxy A22 5G features a 6.6-inch IPS LCD Infinity-V display with Full HD+ resolution. The smartphone also features Dolby Atmos audio and a side-mounted fingerprint reader. It will be available in four colors: grey, mint, violet, and white. Compared to the Galaxy A22, the Galaxy A22 5G has fewer cameras. The smartphone features an 8MP selfie camera at the front and a 48MP+5MP+2MP triple-camera setup at the rear. It even lacks OIS, a camera feature that’s present on the Galaxy A22.
The smartphone is equipped with an octa-core processor (MediaTek Dimensity 700) clocked at 2.2GHz. The Galaxy A22 5G will be available in as many as four memory configurations: 4GB+64GB, 4GB+128GB, 6GB+128GB, and 8GB+128GB. It also features a microSD card slot for storage space expansion (up to 1TB). The phone runs Android 11 out of the box, complete with One UI 3.1.
Other features include a side-mounted fingerprint reader, Samsung Pay, 5G, Wi-Fi b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC, USB 2.0 Type-C port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. It is powered by a massive, 5,000mAh battery that is compatible with 15W fast charging. Samsung hasn’t announced the availability or pricing of the smartphone, though.
