Samsung is on a roll today. After releasing the Android 11 update with One UI 3.1 to the Galaxy A20 and the Galaxy A30s, the company has released a new security update to the Galaxy S10 Lite. The new software update improves the privacy and security aspects of the smartphone by fixing various vulnerabilities.
The Galaxy S10 Lite (SM-G770F) is currently getting a new software update in Spain and Russia. The latest update, which has firmware version G770FXXU4EUF1, includes the June 2021 security patch. Samsung had published a detailed report earlier this week to reveal which bugs it has fixed with the latest security patch. The June 2021 update includes dozens of fixes from Google and 19 fixes from Samsung.
If you are a Galaxy S10 Lite user in the two countries mentioned above, you can download the new update by navigating to Settings » Software update and clicking on Download and install. You can also download the entire firmware file from our firmware database and flash it manually. Other markets could get this update over the next few days.
The Galaxy S10 Lite was launched in February last year with Android 10 on board. Samsung released the Android 11 update to the smartphone in December 2020, ahead of most high-end smartphones. Three months ago, the Galaxy S10 Lite received the One UI 3.1 update with some new software features.
