Samsung has been excellent in terms of software updates over the past year. The company has already released the Android 11 update to most of its smartphones and tablets released over the past two years. The South Korean firm has now started rolling out the Android 11 update to the Galaxy A10, which was launched in early 2019.
The Galaxy A10 (SM-A105F) has started getting the Android 11 update in India. The latest software comes with firmware version A105FDDU6CUH2 and includes the June 2021 security patch. The software update brings a lot of new features and a refreshed UI design to the Galaxy A10. New features include chat bubbles, one-time permissions, auto permissions reset, conversations section in the notifications area, a dedicated media player widget below quick setting toggles, video backgrounds for the call screen, and redesigned Device Care section.
The new software also includes improved and updated versions of stock apps like Calendar, Gallery, Messages, My Files, Reminders, Samsung Internet, Samsung Keyboard, and others. Digital Wellbeing and parental control features have been improved as well. The Galaxy A10 also gets bug fixes, device stability improvements, and better security and privacy with the latest software update.
If you are a Galaxy A10 user in India, you might have already received a notification of the new update. If you haven’t, you can check for it manually by navigating to Settings » Software Update and tapping on Download and install. You can also flash the firmware manually after downloading the latest firmware file from our firmware section.
Samsung had launched the Galaxy A10 in March 2019 with Android 9 Pie. The device received the Android 10-based One UI 2.0 update last year, and the Android 11 update released today could be its last major Android OS update.
