Samsung has released a new beta version of its web browser, and it brings a new feature that lets you customize the position of the address bar. This change makes it easier for users to access the frequently-used address bar. This feature could be released to the stable version of Samsung Internet in the coming weeks.
The new Address bar position feature is situated in the Layout and menu section of Samsung Internet Beta’s Settings menu. You can choose between the top and bottom positions for the address bar and even hide the status bar. Selecting the bottom position will bring the address bar, along with the bookmark and refresh buttons, within easier reach of your fingers. This new layout option is similar to what Apple did with the new version of Safari.
Samsung has also added a Switch to secure connection (HTTPS) feature in the Labs section of its web browser. The company also added a feature that lets you stop small pixel-based user tracking across the web. The changelog also mentions that the URL bar now offers an improved search experience, thanks to “superior and well-organized search suggestions“.
