Samsung’s Tizen OS powered smartphone, the Samsung Z1, has only been released in a couple of countries so far and it appears that the company is gearing up for a launch in a new market. The Tizen Store has started accepting paid applications from developers based in Sri Lanka, this was confirmed through an email that developers received earlier today.
Samsung Z1 was first released in India and then in Bangladesh and unofficial reports claim that so far the company has been able to sell 500,000 units in these markets. Sri Lanka might add to these figures when the relatively cheap Z1 debuts there though Samsung is yet to officially confirm when it will release the device in the country. Today’s email to developers shows that Samsung is sticking with its 100% revenue share promise, developers will receive all of the revenue from their paid app sales through January 31, 2016.
