Samsung Pay will support ATM deposits in South Korea

Samsung Pay users in South Korea will be able to make ATM deposits using the mobile payments service later this month. They will be able to deposit money at ATM machines in the country starting March 11, the day Samsung releases the Galaxy S7 and the Galaxy S7 edge. This feature will enable users to deposit and withdraw money from ATM machines of Woori Bank, Shinhan Bank, KB Kookmin Bank, Industrial Bank of Korea, and NH Nonghyup Bank. Users just have to place their phones on the machine readers to complete the transaction.

Previously users in South Korea could only use Samsung Pay to withdraw money from Woori Bank ATMs. They will appreciate having this improved functionality which covers ATM networks of some of the major banks in South Korea. Samsung has not confirmed if it’s going to bring this functionality to other markets where Samsung Pay is available, it says that more details about this will be available after March 11.
