Fortunately for Samsung, it doesn’t look like too many customers in South Korea were deterred by the exploding Galaxy Note 7 debacle as the firm has reported that it’s sold more than 30,000 units of the handset since resuming sales in the region on Saturday, October 1.
While a significant amount of that figure accounts for pre-orders made before the recall that weren’t fulfilled, sources have claimed that the ‘safe’ variant of the Galaxy Note 7 has made a successful comeback as 10,000 daily sales are considered a “hit” in the smartphone industry.
As I mentioned when the firm first resumed sales in South Korea, it’s fantastic to see consumers continue to support Samsung by giving the product another chance. After all, it’s not the only manufacturer to have ever experienced production issues, and it’ll likely happen to others in the future.
