T-Mobile will resume sales of the Galaxy Note 7 on Wednesday, October 5

T-Mobile has announced that it will resume sales of the Galaxy Note 7 in the United States on Wednesday, October 5. Instead of having to order devices online, though, the operator has announced that it will have stock of the handset in its brick-and-mortar stores — so customers will be able to stroll into their local shop, hand over a few Benjamin Franklin’s and leave with one.

The Galaxy Note 7 that T-Mobile will be stocking will sport the green battery icon to prove that it’s ‘safe’ and doesn’t sport the faulty battery that led to over seventy units spontaneously catching fire while charging. It should also be marked with a black square on the box — pictured below — to indicate that it’s a new unit from a fresh batch and not a defunct one.

Those still in possession of a Galaxy Note 7 subject to the recall still have the facility to return it to T-Mobile without incurring a restocking fee. They have the option to either exchange it or seek a full refund. If they opt for the former, they’ll be entitled to $25 bill credit. However, if they decide to go down the latter route, they will still be able to keep their pre-order bonus.
