What’s New With Nougat Part 7: Pushing Galaxy Apps with App Suggestions

In the penultimate part of our What’s New With Nougat series, we’re looking at how Samsung is going to push the Galaxy Apps store with this latest update. It has always been possible to search for apps that you have installed on the device as it can often be hard to find the one you’re looking for particularly if you have a lot of apps on your phone. The Nougat beta firmware we got our hands on a few days ago for the Galaxy S7 and the Galaxy S7 edge now displays App Suggestions from Galaxy Apps relevant to the keyword entered in the search field.

Galaxy Apps is Samsung’s own app store where its apps are placed front and center. Apps from other partners are available as well and the company usually dishes out free apps and games through its own store. It makes sense why Samsung would want to push Galaxy Apps even more and this integration of suggestions in search results feels really natural and not out of place, don’t you think so?.
