What’s New With Nougat Part 8: Toggles get repositioned and a cleaner look overall

Quick access toggles are something we use dozens of times every day without paying them much attention. We pull down the drawer to perform tasks such as enabling or disabling Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, rotation lock, flashlight, location services as well as for adjusting volume and accessing other features. We’ve already shown you that the Android 7.0 Nougat beta firmware for the Galaxy S7 and the Galaxy S7 edge brings an entirely new user interface and that extends to the toggles as well.

Toggles get a nice splash of color in Nougat and they have also been repositioned. Individual toggles are placed further apart in clean 3×3 grids so you’ll see yourself swiping back and forth multiple times in order to access a relevant toggle but it’s always possible to switch their positions as per your preferences. Subtle changes have been made to the entire look to present a more clean and tidy feel.
