There are countless more recent Samsung handsets that still haven’t received the February security patch but given its tendency to surprise us with software updates, Samsung has released the March security patch for the unbranded Galaxy S5 Neo in the Netherlands.
Launched over two years ago, the Galaxy S5 Neo was a new variant of the Galaxy S5 that featured a different processor and LTE-A connectivity. Its specs include a 5.1-inch 1920×1020 pixel resolution display, a 1.6GHz octa-core Exynos 7580 processor with 2GB RAM and 16GB storage, 16-megapixel rear camera and a 2,800mAh battery.
The patch has been released for the unbranded version of this handset it may only be a matter of time before it’s released for the T-Mobile and Vodafone versions as well. This particular firmware version G903FXXU1BQC1 is now available for download from our firmware section as well.
It has been several months since Samsung released any software update for the Galaxy S5 Neo which is why it’s surprising to see it release the latest security patch update for this device out of the blue. All the more reason to take part in our poll about Samsung’s firmware update policy.
