Samsung Pay received three awards – Best Contactless Innovation of 2017, Best Mobile Payments Solution of 2017 and Best Payments Innovation of 2017 — at the Payments and Cards Award Summit on Wednesday, June 7 in Mumbai, India.

It’s safe to say that one of the main reasons Samsung Pay has been so successful in India is because of its integration with the National Payments Corporation and PayTM, which allows users to make peer-to-peer money transfers and pay for goods using QR codes.
Samsung is also working closely with Digital India to bring Samsung Pay to more of its mid-range smartphones, including the Galaxy J7 Pro, in an effort to encourage residents to adopt a digital wallet as opposed to handling cash.
