Samsung announced the Galaxy S8 and the Galaxy S8+ for the Indian market in April and launched them in May. These smartphones featured 64GB internal storage and 4GB RAM. Two months later, the company launched a special variant of the Galaxy S8+ with 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage with a price tag of INR 74,990 ($1,162). Just one month after the launch, the company has dropped its price to INR 70,990 ($1,100).
Unlike the regular Galaxy S8+, which is available in four colors, the variant with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage is available only in Midnight Black. Apart from memory and storage, there’s no difference between this variant and the regular variant of the Galaxy S8+. The South Korean smartphone giant first launched this variant in its home market South Korea. Later, its availability was extended to Hong Kong as well.
