The upcoming Galaxy A5 (2018) and Galaxy A7 (2018) have been certified by the Wi-Fi Alliance. This news comes less than a week after both of the handsets made a pitstop at the Federal Communication Commission in the United States—so it’s likely they will hit the shelves in the region in the not-too-distant future.

Recent leaks and rumors point towards both the Galaxy A5 (2018) and Galaxy A7 (2018) shipping with an Infinity Display, an in-house Exynos 7785 processor, 4GB of RAM and 32GB of expandable internal storage. They should also both ship running Android 7.1.1 Nougat skinned with Samsung’s Experience user interface.
Galaxy A8 (2018) and Galaxy A8 Plus (2018)?
It’s possible, however, that the Galaxy A5 (2018) and Galaxy A7 (2018) will come with different vanity monikers when they’re released. As we detailed in a (speculative) post we published this week, Samsung may be unifying its model names—and if that’s true, we could be looking at the Galaxy A8 (2018) and Galaxy A8 Plus (2018).
