Samsung is gradually updating some of its apps with support for Android 8.0. It’s a big indication that the Galaxy S8 Android 8.0 Oreo beta program is going to be launched soon. The company has now updated its Samsung Connect app with support for the next major firmware update.
The Samsung Connect app enables users to control smart devices and appliances from their phone even when they’re not at home. They can accomplish tasks like scheduling the washing machine’s cycle, turning up the music and turning on the lights from their phone.

Samsung has released a new update for the Samsung Connect app in the Google Play Store. The changelog confirms that it brings support for Android 8.0 Oreo. A new Dashboard has also been implemented with this update.
Samsung has also made several improvements and additions to the Condition/Action features for the Automation functionality. Users can now add their favorite Scene and devices to the Dashboard and use them.
The company also rolled out a new update for its Smart Switch app yesterday. The update brought support for Android 8.0 Oreo as well. Recent reports suggest that the Galaxy S8 Android 8.0 Oreo beta is likely to be launched soon.
The latest version of Samsung Connect is now available for download from our APK section and the Google Play Store.
