Samsung’s much awaited Bixby-powered smart speaker has been announced today at the Galaxy Note 9 event in New York City. The device is called Galaxy Home. Samsung only teased the new product today and mentioned that it will reveal more information about the product at the Samsung Developers’ Conference in a couple of months.
The company did provide some information about the Galaxy Home at the event. It demonstrated the speaker’s ability to playing its intro audio with a setup made of 160 Galaxy Home speakers. It promises natural sound processing with powerful speakers and a subwoofer for rich, deep bass. Since it has Bixby, the speaker supports far-field voice recognition with eight microphones.
