Galaxy A51 5G, Galaxy A71 5G gain support for Google Play Services for AR

Samsung recently unveiled two new mid-range 5G smartphones, the Galaxy A51 5G and the Galaxy A71 5G, for the American market. Both phones bring stylish design, large OLED screens, quad-camera setups, and 5G connectivity to the mid-range price segment. Now, the phones have received support for Google Play Services for AR.

Compatibility with Google Play Services for AR (earlier Google ARCore) means that you can run augmented reality (AR) based apps and games on an Android device. To make such apps work properly, Google has to work with the brand to create a custom calibration profile for each phone. Those who buy the Galaxy A51 5G or the Galaxy A71 5G can use Google’s Measure app and Pokémon GO in AR+ mode.
