Samsung is on a roll today, sending the latest May 2020 security update to a handful of devices. The company has been at it since last week and many of its top devices have already received the update.
It’s now the Galaxy S10 lineup’s turn. All models are now receiving the latest security update which has also been released for the Galaxy A50, Samsung’s top mid-range smartphone from last year. The update has already been released for both Galaxy Note 10 models.
Samsung releases May 2020 patch for more devices
Samsung is rolling out firmware version G970FXXS5CTD1, G973FXXS5CTD1 and G975FXXS5CTD1 for the Galaxy S10e, Galaxy S10 and the Galaxy S10+ respectively. The G977BXXS4CTD1 firmware is also out for the Galaxy S10 5G. The update has been released in markets across Europe. The May 2020 security patch update is also out for the Galaxy A50. Samsung has released firmware version A505FNXXS4BTCA for the device. It’s currently rolling out in Europe and should be available for the device in other markets as well. This firmware is also available for download from our database.
Samsung hasn’t detailed the May 2020 security patch as yet so it’s unclear precisely what fixes it brings. However, that hasn’t stopped the company from releasing the update for a handful of devices, including but not limited to the Galaxy Fold and the Galaxy Z Flip.
