Samsung has started rolling out a new firmware update for the Galaxy Z Flip today. The latest update for its new foldable smartphone brings the security patch for the month of May 2020. The previous update for this device was released two weeks ago.
While that particular update had brought much in the way of new features for this device, the one that’s being sent out today doesn’t bring much instead of the May 2020 security patch, which Samsung is yet to detail.
New Galaxy Z Flip firmware update brings latest security patch
The Galaxy Z Flip is far from the only Samsung device to have received the May 2020 security patch. Samsung has already rolled it out for the Galaxy S20 lineup, the Galaxy Fold as well as the Galaxy Note 10 and the Galaxy Note 10+.
Samsung has been pretty quick in rolling out the latest security maintenance release to some of its top devices. It has done that even before the actual contents of this security update have been revealed. That information may take another couple of days to arrive, it seems.
Samsung is now rolling out firmware version F700FXXS1ATD9 for the Galaxy Z Flip. It’s available in markets across Europe right now, including but not limited to the Netherlands, Switzerland, Greece and Luxembourg among other countries. The update is available for download right away from our firmware section.
It won’t be long now before this update is available in other markets where the Galaxy Z Flip has gone on sale. Users should expect to see an update notification on their devices in a few days from now.
