Samsung is expecting the Galaxy S22 to sell like hot cakes

Samsung’s Galaxy S series hasn’t seen impressive sales over the past few years, and the company is hoping that it will change next year with the Galaxy S22 series. With increased sales, the South Korean firm is also hoping to increase its market share in 2022.

According to a new report from TheElec, Samsung is expecting its global smartphone market share to reach nearly 22% next year. The company reportedly expects global smartphone sales to increase to 1.52 billion units and hopes to sell 390 million of those devices. When it comes to the breakdown of those 390 million units, the South Korean firm expects the Galaxy S22 series to make up 33 million units.

Apparently, Samsung has targeted to sell 14 million Galaxy S22 units, 8 million Galaxy S22+ units, and 11 million Galaxy S22 Ultra units worldwide. In comparison, the company expects to sell 267 million Galaxy A23 and Galaxy A33 units and 92 million units of Galaxy A53 and Galaxy A73.

The company is reportedly planning to improve its marketing strategies and offer more colors and features at the same price to improve sales. Apparently, Samsung is also looking at cost optimizations when it comes to smartphone production. The South Korean firm could also bring IP67/IP68 rating to more devices next year, just as it did with the Galaxy A52 and Galaxy A72 this year.
