A new device with a model number of SM-Z300H has just passed through FCC, and we suspect that it could be the Samsung Z3 due to the fact that the Z1′s model name was SM-Z130H. It seems a bit out of place since there was never a Samsung Z2 despite all those rumors. The SM-Z300H is passing the FCC certification indicates that we could see its official announcement soon, so we have something else to look out for in the upcoming months.
The Samsung Z1 really isn’t that impressive in terms of hardware specifications, but the Z3 could be a lot better. As we reported exclusively a couple of months back, Samsung Z3 will run Tizen 3.0 operating system, and feature a 5.0-inch 720p display with a 1.3GHz quad-core processor, 1.5GB of RAM, an 8MP primary shooter, a 5-megapixel secondary camera, and two SIM card slots, all of these powered by a 2,600 mAh battery.
What’s exciting about these devices is that they feature a newer version of Samsung’s Tizen operating system. The Z3 was supposed to be announced during the Tizen Developer Summit 2015, but Samsung handed over some early prototypes to developers.
