The Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ have a combined market share of 8.2 percent in Switzerland, outpacing the 4.7 percent market share in the firm’s home country, South Korea, where adoption of its flagship smartphones has long prevailed, according to statistics released by AppBrain.
As can be seen in the table below, the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ are post popular in Switzerland, Australia, Norway, Sweden, the United States, United Kingdom and South Korea, respectively, followed by Denmark and Germany, with Egypt sitting at the bottom of the list.
It’s surprising that the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ only account for 4.7 percent of the market in South Korea, but there could be a simple explanation: it’s possible that a large number of owners upgraded to the Galaxy Note 8 as soon as it was released, resulting in the figures dropping.
Galaxy S7 is still the most-used Android smartphone in the US
Whatever the case may be, it’s nice to see Samsung gaining traction in the European market, though with a market share of 5.4 percent, the Galaxy S8 has a long way to go until it takes the crown for the most-used Android smartphone in the United States from the Galaxy S7.
