The Galaxy A90 is shaping up to be something of an experimental device for Samsung. It’s said to have a pop-up front-facing camera, which extends then rotates the rear-facing shooter then rotates to focus on what’s happening on the user-side, as well as a Crystal Sound-like solution, which sends sound waves through the screen; eliminating the need for a front-facing speaker.
So, it looks like the Galaxy A90 will nudge the envelope in terms of design. But will it do the same on the performance front? Not quite, according to Weibo tipster Martian V, who claims it will have a 6.7-inch FHD+ OLED screen, an unannounced Snapdragon 700-series CPU, a tri-camera (48MP + 8MP + ToF) and a 3700mAh cell, complete with a 25W Fast Charger à la forthcoming Galaxy S10 5G.
With that in mind, the Galaxy A90 is expected to sit beneath the Galaxy S10e, which has a more robust Snapdragon 855 CPU, in Samsung’s smartphone line up; hinting it’s an experimental, one-off handset that has been designed to test market response to a new design concept ahead of a launch on a flagship device, or it could just be another way for Samsung to showcase its engineering prowess.
