The Galaxy Note 20 series is now getting the June security update worldwide

Samsung is bringing the June 2021 security update to more devices, and the Galaxy Note 20 series hasn’t been omitted. The company is now rolling out a new firmware update for the LTE and 5G variants of the Galaxy Note 20 and Galaxy Note 20 Ultra worldwide, including in the USA and Europe.

The new update’s firmware version differs by region, but regardless, it comes with the June 2021 security patch. It carries firmware version N98xxxUES2DUE1 in the USA and it’s rolling out on carrier variants from Sprint, AT&T, Xfinity Mobile and more. The June 2021 security patch is also out for the Galaxy Note 20 series in Europe where it carries firmware version N98xxXS2DUF1.

The firmware versions indicate that this is a routine firmware update with a new security patch in tow, though it doesn’t look like it includes any other extra features or improvements to the user experience. As for the June 2021 security patch, Samsung has yet to reveal its changelog for security reasons, but as always, we’ll keep you posted as soon as the company spills the beans.

The update should reach additional markets at any moment now, and as always, Galaxy Note 20 / Galaxy Note 20 Ultra owners will be greeted by a notification once the update reaches their phones. The update process can also be triggered from the Settings app on the phone.
