[Poll] Do you use Always On Display on your Galaxy S7 or Galaxy S7 edge?

Samsung has been using AMOLED displays on its flagships since the first Galaxy S, but it took the company seven years to introduce a feature like Always On Display, which shows the time and notifications when a device is sitting idle. OLED displays are most suited to such a feature, as these displays only power up the pixels needed and turn off everything else. Since Always On Display is essentially a bit of information with the screen mostly black, it doesn’t consume much power despite keeping the screen active at all times.

Always On Display is a bit limited and can slightly increase battery drain, but it’s still a nice feature that can turn your Galaxy S7 or Galaxy S7 edge into a clock and/or calendar when you’re not actively using the phone. You can also customize its look with third-party themes available from Samsung’s Theme Store. To prevent unnecessary battery usage, Always On Display even turns off when the phone is in a pocket, bag or lying face down on a surface.

Here at SamMobile, the team is divided into the “love this feature” and the “I’ll take battery life over constant on-screen information”, and we decided to put the question to our readers: Do you use Always On Display on your Galaxy S7 or Galaxy S7 edge? Do you like the feature, or do you think you can do without a bit of additional information when your smartphone is lying idle?
