Samsung has started rolling out a new software update to the Galaxy A10s that includes Android 11 and the latest security patch. The Galaxy A10s was launched in mid-2019 with Android 9-based One UI onboard, and it is now getting its last major Android OS update. In the future, it will only receive security updates.
The new software update for the Galaxy A10s is rolling out in Malaysia and Vietnam right now, but we expect it to be released in other markets soon. The latest update bears firmware version A107FXXU8CUG1 and includes the July 2021 security patch.
The new software brings a refreshed UI design, improved stock apps such as Samsung Internet and Samsung Keyboard, one-time permissions, auto permissions reset, redesigned Device Care menu, the ability to remove GPS location data from images, easier access to smart home controls, more lockscreen options, conversations section in the notifications area, and a dedicated media player widget below quick setting toggles.
The new update could also improve the performance and stability of the Galaxy A10s. The July 2021 security patch fixes the Android Auto bug that some Galaxy users were facing.
If you are a Galaxy A10s user in Malaysia or Vietnam, you can check for the latest software update manually by navigating to Settings » Software update and tapping on Download and install. You can also download the latest firmware file from our firmware database and flash it manually.
