July 2021 security update hits the Galaxy M11

This is just the second week of July, and Samsung has already updated many smartphones and tablets with the July 2021 security patch. The rollout started with the Galaxy S10 and then expanded to the Galaxy Fold, Galaxy S20, Galaxy Note 10, Galaxy Note 20, and the Galaxy A52. Even the Galaxy A10s received the new security patch earlier today, and now it is time for the Galaxy M11.

Samsung has started rolling out a new software update to the Galaxy M11, and it includes the July 2021 security patch. The new update, which bears firmware version M115FXXU2BUF3, is rolling out in Malaysia, Thailand, and Vietnam right now. And we expect Samsung to release this software in other markets over the next few days.

The South Korean firm hasn’t detailed which security vulnerabilities it has fixed with the July 2021 security patch. We expect the information to be made public within the next couple of weeks. The July 2021 security patch seemingly fixes the Android Auto bug that some users have been facing on their Galaxy devices.

If you are a Galaxy M11 user in any of the countries mentioned above, you can check for the update by navigating to Settings » Software update and tapping on Download and install. You can also download the latest firmware from our firmware database and flash it manually.
